OTV Metal Works uses a combination of old and new blacksmithing tools to create custom orders for those who desire a unique piece of art or a tool built to specs for a purpose.

Top-tier Materials

No mystery metals! We select the best materials for your project. Depending on the type of knife you are interested in there are many suitable blade, handle and sheath materials. All things are considered for your particular mission and desires, from cutting sushi to field dressing an elk.

Professional Heat Treatment

We use a custom seven step heat treatment process for each of our knives, imbuing them with near magical properties. All billets are annealed, normalized, and tempered in our on-site Evenheat kiln.

Deluxe Finish

We use the best natural oils in the business for each part of your knife. Hope’s Tung oil for handles, Odie’s for sheaths and premium food grade mineral oil for the blades.

Handmade for YOU

Our knives are totally custom and one-of-a-kind, made only for YOU. A short phone interview is usually all that’s required to take your order.

Orders

Prices range from $300-$1,000 or more depending on the desired materials and amount of labor it takes to bring your knife to life.
